🖤 Artisticbloodline Tattoo Aftercare Instructions (Using A+D Ointment)
Proper aftercare is key to healing your tattoo beautifully and preserving the artwork. Follow these expert-recommended steps using A+D Ointment to protect your new ink and keep it looking flawless:
✅ 1. Leave the bandage on (2-4 hours)
Your Artisticbloodline tattoo artist will cover your tattoo with a bandage or plastic wrap. Keep it on for 2 to 4 hours to protect the area from bacteria and prevent sticking to clothes.
💦 2. Gently wash your tattoo

After removing the bandage, wash your hands first. Gently clean your tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
❌ Do NOT scrub—use your fingertips and be gentle.✅ Pat dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry (do not rub with a cloth towel).
🩹 3. Apply a thin layer of A+D Ointment

Once your tattoo is completely dry, apply a very thin layer of A+D Ointment.❌ Do not over-apply—too much can suffocate the tattoo and clog pores.✅ Gently rub it in until the shine goes away and the skin feels moisturized but not greasy.
🔄 4. Repeat 2-3 times a day for the first 3 days
Clean and reapply A+D 2 to 3 times daily for about 3 days. After 3 days, you can switch to a fragrance-free, non-petroleum-based lotion (like Lubriderm or Aveeno) to keep the tattoo moisturized until fully healed.
⚠️ Things to Avoid While Healing
❌ Do NOT scratch, pick, or peel your tattoo (even if it itches or flakes).
❌ Avoid soaking in water—no swimming, hot tubs, or long baths for at least 2 weeks.
❌ Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning beds while healing.
❌ Avoid tight clothing that may rub against your tattoo.
✅ Your tattoo should heal in 2–4 weeks. Healing time varies by person, tattoo size, and placement. Keep your skin moisturized and follow these instructions to prevent fading, scarring, or infection.
💬 Signs of Infection? Don’t Ignore It!If you notice redness, swelling, pus, or severe pain, contact your tattoo artist or a healthcare professional immediately.
